My back issues, serious ones, are mostly muscular. They barely show on an MRI. Physical therapy, ice, good stretching, antiinflammatories. My Mum keeps trying to get me to the chiro and my doctor is an osteopath. I've found after 3 years that both of those are not effective. Everyone's different, so keep trying different stuff until you find what's right for you. Just know that serious, debilatating muscle spasms are also a thing. A treatable thing.

Hey, thanks for that.

I'm currently experimenting with changing the height of my pillow. The idea being that if my neck is in the right place, maybe my back won't get twisted up while I'm sleeping. I don't know if this theory is right, but the last two nights I've been more or less ok. I'm a bit sore after getting up this morning, but didn't wake up at 4am because I couldn't turn over.

The reason I think it might be an actual injury is that some forms of stretching make it worse, especially pancake stretches.

I have no idea what pancake stretches are. I like pancakes, though. If I stretch can I have some?
