Why? Because I'm 100 pages into the Law Commission report on their review of the Misuse of Drugs Act. So far, it's been stuff I already know, but I feel I should read it in detail to ensure I've got all of it, and just because I know a lot doesn't mean I know more than they do, so I don't want to risk missing something important through arrogance.
Did I mention how dry it is? It's also another 200 pages long.
I'm just reading the bit about the UN Conventions covering what NZ must prohibit and how breaches of prohibition must be dealt with. It's.. vague and open to interpretation.
I think the Law Commission have done a very good job of this paper. I think it's a shame that a lot of people (including those with the power to cange things) won't read it, because it's 300 pages long.
As an aside, I wonder how many of the people commenting with such authority over on the Greens' blog, have actually read it?
I has a meeting. Have a nice day people, see you at Fidels.
