This is my friend Kris. I've known Kris since I first moved to Wellington, and I haven't seen him for nearly a year. He just happened to be wandering past where we were, so he joined us for the evening. And the girlies thought he was hot and he was oblivious and it was funny. Yes I know I look like some kind of maniac in this photo. There's a reason for that. *cough* Anyway, Polly, who has graduated well beyond Big Fish Small Fish Cardboard Box in the hand-dancing, had Kris mesmerised (which is probably why he didn't notice the girlies perving at him).
After that there was more dancing at Atomic but realistically, I find it hard to dance to 80s music without being sarcastic with my own personal brand of the Mashed Potato crossed with the White People Shuffle. I had to restrain myself. Um, they played Sweet Child Of Mine, and there was air guitar and hopping on one leg because sometimes you just can't hold back the silly. And I got mobbed by nubile young men. Which was weird. *shudders* However, they thought I was their age, which was very flattering. *beam* And I got found by an e-tard who wanted my gloves on his face (lime green tiger striped fun fur - who can resist?). I happily obliged him till my arms got tired. Then I grabbed my cloak and ran off before the young boys found me again.
'Twas a night for running in to random people I know. Which is very cool.
OK, more random photos. Probably not work safe.
Chocolate fish for anybody who can name everything that's in this picture. Or can tell me what's going on in the one below:
This is Goldie. He belongs to my friend Gavin who I visited last weekend. Come on, every lj needs a chicken every now and then...
And finally, this. This bugs me because it's anatomically incorrect. Goats have two teats. This is why I ask for the zebra when I go to Katipo.
See? Told you they were random.
Thank you and congratulations to Rhi for having a birthday and a graduation and wanting to celebrate. Thanks to everyone else for coming out and jumping around with me.
(I haven't slept till 4pm for many many years. Ees gooot)
[EDIT] Of interest to some - I was looking through my *cough*25G*cough* of electronica, and what should I find but a 53-minute track called Shine by... DJrrrus! The id3 tags have it dated 2000. Well golly. And it's as good as the other stuff of his I've heard.
