Today is day three of no coffee. So far the only difference I'm noticing is that the coffee I make for Dr Wheel in the morning smells even better.
Long term, it will supposedly help me sort out my adrenal stuff and thus I will be filled with vigour and the joy of life, terrifyingly healthy and able to perform amazing feats of strength and endurance.
I'm still allowed coffee, just not first thing in the morning. Trouble is, by 10am when coffee becomes ok, I'm at work. Work doesn't supply good coffee, and if I'm only having one coffee a day it's going to be a good one. But I draw the line at paying $5 to go and get a cafe one. Our espresso machine is at home, and by the time I get home if I have a coffee I'll be awake till midnight.
So it seems that by default almost, I'm giving up coffee. Except the odd one on weekends I guess. It'll be interesting to see how my next one (roll on Saturday!) affects me. Will I become annoyingly chipper? Stay tuned..
