(no subject)

I have been off work for 4 days. In that time I've:

Tidied, deadheaded, noxious weed removed, and windbreaked the garden.
Trimmed all the edges.
Planted flower seeds in the cracks and edgy bits.
Transplanted the lemon tree to a better spot.
Filled the vegie garden with seedlings, harvested the first courgettes.
Got the Magic Carpet close to completion (it'll be finished today).
Regained my enthusiasm for training.
Got up whenever the hell I feel like it, which is about half an hour later than I usually do for work.
Nearly finished Inquisition.
Done some actual relaxing.
Watched Dr Wheel's art slowly come together on the lawn.

Amongst this I've realised that there are a bunch of jobs I've been putting off because they require big chunks of time, and I don't usually have big chunks of time. However, these things are things that make me happy. Thus, I'm trying to work out how to make sure I get enough chunks of time to do the things that make me happy on a regular basis, instead of leaving it all to the holidays and being miserable in between. Two days a week simply isn't enough time for me to live my life to the extent that I want to. Work is not, and never will be, a suitable substitute for life.

I sure do like money, though.
