In which I dress up in a silly costume and prance around

Seems it's springtime in Wellington now, and yesterday was a nice day for taking photos. So pombagira and I grabbed the car and went for a drive round the Miramar peninsula with the aim of getting some decent photos of the Regalia of Weisshaupt costume. Always interesting on a sunny day when every body and their dragon dog is out and about.

One of the cool things about Wellington is that it's pretty easy to get pictures that have no civilisation in the background. This is not one of them:

Meanwhile, we took 540 shots in total (don'tcha love digital?), and walked about 3km on a beautiful, unseasonably warm, fairly still spring day in Wellington. This outfit weighs 10kg and I was expecting it to be less comfortable, but leather softens and stretches with use and it actually got more comfortable as the day went on. Yay for using real materials! Also, the armour parts handled the wear - the only bits that chipped were the belt keepers that I hadn't gesso'ed. It's strong, comfortable and robust. I think we can call that a win.

I also have a bunch of outtakes and some silly shots that are just begging to have a bit of lightning put in them. I've no idea how to do that, but since when has that ever stopped me?
