Mah life, she ees full!

One of our architectural technology industry reps looks just like Principal Snyder from Buffy. Seriously. I want to take a photo of him and put it on the internet but I can't think of a reasonable justification to give him. Between him and Whistly-Teeth Guy, it's hard to maintain focus.

(we have two Whistly-Teeth Guys, but luckily they are on different working parties so i only have to deal with them one at a time. i think they should be banned from saying words with 'S' in them)

Today I'm wearing determinedly summery clothes (with stockings and a big wool overcoat), because it's Friday and Friday demands frivolity.

In the Frick/First staring match, so far First is winning by virtue of having had 11 years' practice, a case of OCD and an amazing ability to not blink for ages.

And Vic is asking me to be a mentor for Maori and Pacific students doing BA and BCA degrees. This is the second offer like this I've had - the first was for SPOL students in the PASS programme. It's kind of flattering to be asked, and I've no doubt it looks good on the CV and academic record, but I'm not sure I have time to do it. There's a little voice telling me I should, and another going "WARE THE BURNOUT!"

Does anyone have experience with this sort of thing - how much time it takes up, mental demand, etc?

I will be at Fidels tonight, for there have been no chips since last Friday and I am jonesing for salty fatty goodness..
