Sometimes it's the simple solutions..

Mild steel wire! Instead of high tensile!

The only spine on my hoop that hasn't caused me any trouble is a bit of 14 gauge mild steel wire that I used for a repair at Kiwiburn 08 when I couldn't find anything else - it's ugly and wiggly and a tiny bit floppy, but it's lasted over a year of hammering without breaking.

To which I go "Why did I not think of this before? Doh."

In other news, Tommy got 100% on a Japanese test. Woot! (it's all japanese to me, but apparently he understands it). My kid are brainy. Yay!
