On the nature of words

Anyone who doesn't know what it means, what do you think it should mean based on the look and sound of the word?

Now look it up.

Surprised? I was. To me, bucolic is evocative of fat moustachioed public-servant-type men who are red in the face, and belch a lot.

I hereby usurp the meaning of this word.

Also, I spent yesterday afternoon at the beach. It was warm and sunny and pleasant. It was nice, simply because usually going to the beach in Wellington requires a certain teeth-gritting determination, and to not have to do that was a lovely way to celebrate summer's end.

I rate yesterday at 25 bucols. Yes, there was belching.

PS Jemaine from Flight of the Conchords reminds me of beagl. It's.. disconcerting.
