You are about to ... no I'm not, damnit.

OK. So it would seem that a bunch of people have opted into flagging their own blog with the "You are about to view content that may not be appropriate for minors" thing. That's great, wonderful and socially responsible. However, what I'm now seeing as I scroll down my friends page is lj-cut after lj-cut saying the same thing.

And I have no idea what is behind those cuts, because it doesn't say anything about the actual content.

And since they all say the same thing, I'm less inclined to click on them to see what's behind them. I don't know if there's still the option for your cut to have your own words in it, but if you're using your own words, they aren't coming through. Can I please suggest to the people who've done this, that they perhaps put a little paragraph before the cut, so we know what we're about to be looking at? Most of my friends are wordsmiths, I'm sure you can come up with something that tells us what's there without traumatising, corrupting or otherwise doing bad things to the heads of minors.
