I appear to be a bit lop sided

My bag strap falls off my left shoulder, my bra strap falls off my right.

My skirts, when walking, always rotate clockwise round my waist.

Socks creep off my right foot, but not my left.

Yesterday, thirstygirl showed me how to tie a full windsor. I was born knowing how to tie a half windsor, but I'd never seen the full version done before, and I was most impressed with the symmetry. So this morning, when I put on my rather corporatey looking shirt and pinstriped mini, I thought "A tie might look ok with this." Because I have no shame I'm not embarrassed to copy a good idea.

And it worked! It was lovely and even and had a dimple and everything (because of the silk, you see). Only one problem. It clashed horribly with my hair. My only other tie clashes with everything I might stand next to in the course of a day, is UV reactive and has lots of frogs on it. It comes a close second to grist's purple one with lime green surfing crocodiles, for pisstaking bad taste. So, no showing off of my newfound skills today. It will be a Stealth Skill until I get a neutral-coloured tie.

Last night there was half an episode of Kimi Wa Petto (after the slowest copy ever, that was all I had time for), and it is indeed shaping up to be something I'll continue watching. The girl's lips fascinate me.

And, I have my ticket to FreQ Nasty. It amuses me that the disclaimer on the back includes "Have a bloody good time!"

Also, I have discovered that the business manager here is a closet pyro. He not only sat down with me for an hour this morning and helped me draw up a plan for making a working pair of succubus wings out of bamboo, but he also came up with an idea to make our art installation burn a lot more arty, bigger and more impressive, with the judicious use of accelerants.

Builders are cool. ;-)
