happy

Pyromaniacs, spiritualists and others in this cast of thousands

Firstly, grist, catteeya and I are going to see Clerks 2 on Tuesday. If anyone wants to join us, please let me know. I'm pretty sure it won't interfere with climbing so I'm up for that as well.

The other night I got a call from a lady who would like me to do a sheep husbandry demonstration for the local lifestyle group (get your mind out of the gutter lifeofreilly!). This brought me back down to earth with a clunk. Sheep? Gosh, that's right. I do things with sheep. How did I get myself roped into this? I forget. However, I now have to create a lesson plan for a demonstration to show people how to do things with their own sheep. Hmm.. *racks brains* What to do, what to do.. Oh well, I have three weeks to think about it and at least they're providing a woolshed. There's something mildly disturbing about a group of expectant people watching your every move and waiting for you to impart wisdom to them. Also, I'm wondering if I should turn up looking as I do now, just for extra added shock factor. Apparently one of the things they want to know is "What to expect from your shearer." So, people, any suggestions? What would you expect from your shearer?

So anyway, on the historic record front, the whole Burning Man thing? There's this man, you see. They burn it. That's how it started, anyway.

In other news, I think the jetlag hit me this morning. Woke up, turned off alarm, turned on light, fell back to sleep. Woke up in a panic with 40 minutes to get to work. Made it with three to spare thanks to colleague spotting me waiting for my (missed) bus and giving me a lift. *hugs colleague* Supposed to be going out dancing tonight. Yay for Spike and coffee, I say. *twitches*

[EDIT] I just noticed, looking through all my photos, that every single one has beautiful clear blue skies in it. It has also been stunning since I got home. I may be jinxing myself by saying this, but in only three days I will have been a whole month without seeing any rain. This may well be the first time in my life that this has happened. *blinks*
