What else would he be doing on a Sunday?

Someone just knocked on my door collecting for the Foundation for the Blind. They've had people out on the streets all week collecting too. Personally I think it's a worthy cause (ooh, dogs!) and I've given them money. I also patted a guide dog that looked like a heading dog - cute!

I didn't give today's collector anything. I find it mildly annoying that they'll come to my home and disturb me on my day off to ask me for money. My home is where I'm supposed to be able to relax and get away from the invasion of my space that is day to day life.

I restrained myself from saying all this to the collector who, after all, thinks he's doing a good turn. But I wish they would stop. Maybe a sign to save them walking up the path - "This home does not welcome proselytisation and we donate to charities through choice. It's a long walk up. Please don't waste either of our time. Thank you."

Barbeque tonight! Mmmm meat.
