Manchester is my big weakness - no, not the football team Beatpig. I like Arsenal.

Yup. I'm a sucker for towels, sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases... the more luxurious the better. And yesterday I indulged myself. Ohyes! I now have *coughfourcough* sets of sheets, duvet cover and pillowcases, so I can alter my bed to suit my mood (or in this case my hair, which tends to leach at night, damnit! Anyone who knows how to stop that please tell me).

I also bought cargo pants, because in NZ you can. Couldn't find -any- in SF. Clearly the San Franciscan fashion buyers are undereducated. Every woman should have at least one pair of cargos that hang around their hips in a suitably sloppy manner and have enough butt-room for climbing trees and dancing. It's one of nature's laws.

OK, weird stuff: when I'm in a building waiting for the lift (elevator for those in the US), I can feel the floor moving. It's similar to the sensation you get when you have been on a boat and you get on dry land, and it feels like the ground's moving. I could understand this if it happened -after- I went in the lift, but it's -before-. I'm thinking wind-sway on the building, minor earth movements, possibly my imagination.. but it happens every time.

No I don't indulge in GnT's at my desk. Anyone got a rational explanation? Anyone else notice this? It's got me stumped.

Meanwhile, we have a 'last man/woman/undecided standing' situation here at work. There is a mystery virus going around that has keeled over three out of the five people in our department for the last week. Paul and I are eyeing each other like combatants and wondering who'll be toughest and not get sick. I vote for me. Because I'm stubborn. Yes.
