happy

Home, home on the range..

So yesterday's post generated quite a bit of discussion, and ended with a comparison of intelligence between sheep and goats. All this got me reminiscing about things pastoral, and this morning I found myself listening to Michelle Shocked and looking at rural properties on Open2View. *sighs happily*

I miss being in the country. Today I've been reminded of the reasons I came to the Big City to be a capitalist, and my goal of owning my own bit o' dirt. You can shove your Half-Gallon Quarter-Acre Pavlova Paradise where the sun don't shine, I want land, lots of land, under starry skies above.. *barely restrains self from bursting into song* I want enough land so I can live off it, and wander around it, and run romantically through glades and grassy meadows, and indulge my inner hippie by letting bits of it regenerate. And some rocks to climb on would be good.

So I'm back on track. I'm going to be the crazy old lady in the country. And I might be old when I get it, but get it I will. So, thanks for the wakeup call, Commenting-People.

*huge happy smile*
