Never say never

I know I said yesterday was the last, but this really is, and I'm only doing it so that killifish can say "See, I was right." Because he is. Chalk it up. ;-)

Statistical evidence of tampering, not with voting machines, but with optically scanned votes. Be interesting to see if anything comes of this.

In other news, kimeros and I made a cake (well, she mostly did it, I chopped nuts) out of the book that grist and I gave her for her birthday. It was like a science experiment, and took 5 (count 'em, five) bowls for the preparation. And we scoffed it while discussing Frankenstein and Tom Brown's Schooldays and scanning the History of the World from an early 1800's dictionary (which, incidentally, didn't have 'fuck' in it).

And an etiquette question: Is it ok to just drop in on a friend, or should you always phone first? My belief is that it's polite and respectful to phone first, but I'm very English like that, and could be wrong. Please, enlighten me.
