Yay for balance!

Does anybody know where on the globe is exactly opposite New Zealand? Or, specifically, Wellington? Wherever it is, they are having their autumn equinox today. Because we're having our spring one.

Yes folks, today is the day when we get exactly 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness. Days and nights are in balance. And whether you believe in it or not, that makes it special, because it only happens twice a year.

Also, because it means spring's a-creeping on, and daylight savings (Oct 3rd) is only 10 days away. w00t! More after-work trips to the Head!

So, worthy of celebration.
