Still goofing off over my newfound book binding skills. I see presents for my mum in the future. How did everyone else's turn out?
In other news, I had a win with the government department I deal with daily. Logic prevailed - my logic. Can we say 'payrise please?' Yeah yeah, I know I've only been there 3 months, but performance reviews are in December and you can bet your sweet booty I'm taking note of these things for future reference. I hate it when that question 'What have you done for the company?' comes up and you don't have anything to refer to. So I shall Be Prepared, like the good Girl Guide I'm not.
And I don't have to go to Auckland this week. This means no airport, no checking out the recommended barista for perv value and maybe I'll be still sane and happy by the end of the week. There is also grading, which I feel not at all ready for. I know the techniques, I just have no faith in my skills. However I'm good at pulling out the stuff when it counts so *crosses everything* I'd say wish me luck, but luck doesn't make a hapeth of difference in a test of skill.
Wish me skill?
