So my latest outbreak of spots is on my calves instead of my thighs. I joked with someone that maybe gravity is working and eventually they'll slide off the ends of my feet and be gone.

Weirdly, I was talking with a health professional this morning and she said that with systemic rashes, it tends to be the case that the closer they are to your core organs the more serious they are. If they move away towards your extremities, apparently this is a sign that they are getting better*. So in a weird way, maybe they are sliding off.

* I have no evidence to support this notion but you betchya I'll be following it up.

I know this is a common theory with herpes zoster. Under extreme stress I had it on my arms, near the elbows. The one around the torso is much worse and considered much more serious. Makes sense somehow. Zoster is very much psychosomatic (although it does have a virus as the root cause).

I hope yours really slide off.
