No, I have no idea what he's trying to say either. Anyone want to ring him up and ask?

Although, he does get points for "DO NO GAMBLE alcohol coffee coke smoke tainment." And saying that park benches are healthy food. Also, reading it aloud to your friends while shouting the capitalised bits will draw a laugh or two.

Agreed, I was doing the shouting thing in my head and it was making me chuckle. It seems like it's notes on his policies or something? Weird.

Also, Don McDonald? What were his parents thinking...

That would explain the Proper Follow through service for COMPLAINTS then.

Also, at least I only shout at the television when they get it wrong about sheep.

How about SECONDARY EDUCATION for illiterate politicians? This whole thing is his way of saying "vote for me"? Poor bastard!

I think he's trying to fit as much information as possible into the word count, and forgot that other people can't read his mind.

It seems to make sense until he gets to the Power bills section - then I have no idea what he's talking about.

Although kudos for not being a negative ad? I think?

Especially because in the pamphlet, he's surrounded by people who are not coming across as if they are on a combination of acid and speed.

Sooo I have to admit, even with the side order of crazy, he does actually sounds better than half of our candidates...

Plus he envisions a fabric society! *raises knitting needles high*

Well, I'm all for less stuff. But in the case of traffic, he really should specify which stuff he means. Like.. cyclists? Pedestrians? Couriers? Traffic cones? SO CONFUSED.

Is he even a real candidate?

We always wind up with a few jokers on the ballot too. Look up Vermin Supreme and Jimmy McMillan on YouTube.

Aren't you just a little tempted to have an entire local government elected of just people like this and see what happens? It might be good entertainment.

Another of the candidates for our ward is a 1970s comedian whose schtick was taking the piss out of kiwi suburban culture with her character Lynn of Tawa:

I reckon if her and the MacDonald guy got voted in it would be good entertainment. Especially since they share a surname..

Um, we pretty much do.

Even the allegedly serious candidates can't string 100 words together without descending into platitudinous incoherence.

I'd just like a list of booleans:
supports_airport_extension ||
supports_earlier_bar_closures ||
supports_more_motorways ||
supports_megacity ||
supports _alternative_giving ||
opposes_living_wage

=> not_getting_my_vote

Is this like a job that pays a living wage? Maybe WINZ should encourage more unemployed crazy people to stand for public office...
