Last night I dreamed that the Titanic disaster had been made into a video game. It was about as thrilling as you might expect, with bonus "OHAI Fenris wot R U doin heer?" moments. It mostly seemed to be about battling your way ruthlessly onto lifeboats. O.o

Meanwhile, you know when you're in the grip of creativity and all you want to do is make that thing you're making? Yeah, that. Sadly, I am having to wait for stuff to dry between coats and it takes 24 bloody hours, which is a ridiculously long amount of time. Worse, it's about the slow buildup of layers, and I'm going to need at least four, and so that's four days of only getting 5 minutes a day's work done on Silly Project DBESR. *gnng* I keep telling myself that I'm a grownup and that delayed gratification is where it's at, but I suspect myself of lying.

Here, have a picture of the pretty tulip that just opened on our balcony:

Tulips make me think of my Mum.

Tonight, I'm going to attempt acro. My shoulder is by no means better, but it's the last class for the term and I can always stop if it becomes a problem. Right? Right? I haven't even used the parallettes that Happy made me yet. *more gnng*

What is acro? And I know what you mean about delayed gratification!

Acro is partner acrobalance, which includes this sort of thing:

The class I'm doing is cheerleading/tumbling based which involves a lot of dynamic moves and throws. What I'm really interested in is adagio, which looks like this:

Those guys blow me away. I want to be them when I grow up.

So to that end I'm doing the acro and a handbalancing class, and between them I should learn the skills. ;-)

You should have more things (paintings?) ongoing at the same time, to avoid the painful and tedious wait :)

I really don't like to have to wait for gratification, no matter what it concerns...

This is what I was thinking. I have several other projects of the same nature in mind, but this is the prototype and I want to complete it and take the lessons learned into the next ones.

Hmm..

A very sensible and mature thing to do ;) I'd never be able to stand the wait though and mess things up several times instead of wait for lessons learned... But then again I have no patience whatsoever when it comes to most things, and especially regarding creativity.
Best of luck!

Yeah me too. But after I spend $100 on a little jar of stuff for this project, I figured I'd best not waste it. So I'm sitting here twitching and moaning on the internet about it instead! ;-)

Yayks, that's a lot of money! Then even I would be patient... That is if I weren't under the influence of alcohol, then nothing could stop me (bad/good? Depends on the situation I guess). Will be interesting to see how it turns out :)
