Looking at that, the idea that we're the only planet that can support life just seems preposterous.

That is ridiculously beautiful And yes, I've alway thought the belief that we're sitting on the only planet that can support and/or has supported life to be... self-centered at best, arrogant at worst.

I like to imagine other lifeforms existing that are just wildly different to anything we're familiar with on Earth. Like huge things living in the atmospheres of planets that are poisonous to us, flimsy like jellyfish but based on completely different elements, that we could never hope to have actual meaningful communication with.
